Born out of the renowned Stellenbosch Wine Festival, the Grape Day Out was conceptualised and delivered for the first time in 2012 by WorldSport South Africa - now known as Live Company Sports & Entertainment (LCSE). The one-day event was an upmarket day of wine tasting, fashion, and entertainment; targeted primarily at the student market.
The concept for the Grape Day Out going forward is to combine the best elements of these events to create an immersive experience which will become a key date on the student calendar. The opportunity exists for partners to associate their brands with the event via media-led campaigns and on-site product promotions.
Patrons will be able to enjoy a Grape Day Out with friends and fellow students in a chic and stylish environment. They’ll savour wines from estates across the Cape at 20+ wine tasting stands. Guests will be kept abreast of fashion trends as they are showcased on the main stage by leading fashion brands and stand a chance of winning awesome prizes in the student fashion show. Or simply just enjoy the live performances on stage with the best local bands and DJ's!
